Beer Name: Black Witow
Style: Dark Wheat Ale
ABV: 3.7%
IBU: 18
Color: Darker than dark; edged by a different, less-dark black.
Cheese Pairing: Morbier.
Food Pairing: Beer-steamed mussels with sausage.
Music Pairing (Jimbo's Choice): "BBQ USA" by Mojo Nixon or "Into the Fog" by The Budos Band.
Music Pairing (Jared's Choice): "White Dynomite" by White Dynomite.
Best Occasion to Drink: As a "cool down" beer between dinner and dessert.
Brewer's Notes: This recipe was originally created out of spite, just like any good beer, but the result was so good that we kept coming back to it. We've gone through a couple variations on this concept, but we keep coming back to the tanginess of the wheat and the subtle fruitiness imparted by the spices we use. It's an easy sipper, perfect for preventing palate fatigue when you want a dark beer but don't one that's a full meal (or one that requires a nap after you finish it).
